Follow a source and read its updates

Choose a source in Explore, then read the updates Fruitful captures for you.

Before you start

  • Sign in to Fruitful Desktop and open a workspace.
  • Enable Local Capture on this device and keep Fruitful running while it captures.
  • Connect any browser session your source requires. The Hacker News example does not require a login to the source.

About the sample

The app follows Hacker News and captures a fixed sample of its stories through the real Local Capture pipeline. These are sample updates, not today's news. Linked Reader text and site icons are prepared examples; the text is not a reproduction of the original articles. Setup is omitted and the processing wait is shortened. The follow action and Reader use the same source in the same workspace.

Watch the walkthrough

What happens next?

Keep Fruitful running for Local Capture to collect future updates. If no updates arrive, check that Local Capture is enabled and look at the background tasks for capture progress or an error.
