About the sample
This walkthrough uses an original sample lesson, Build a calmer reading routine. The app interactions are real; its metadata, transcript, and summary use prepared sample data. Use your own supported link—the sample URL is not a public video. Setup and processing waits are omitted or shortened. Playback is not demonstrated.
Watch the walkthrough
1. Save a media link
In Activity, choose Add (+) → Save. Paste your video or podcast URL into Capture a link, then choose Capture.

2. Let capture finish
Your saved link opens in the Reader. Its title and author can arrive before the transcript. Leave Fruitful running while capture completes.

3. Read the summary
With automatic media summaries enabled, Fruitful prepares a summary after it captures the transcript. Read the overview and key takeaways to decide which ideas deserve a closer look.

4. Read the transcript
Scroll down to Transcript to read the captured text alongside the saved link. You can read at your own pace without starting playback.

What happens next?
The saved item remains in Activity, with its transcript and summary available when you reopen Fruitful. Keep the desktop app running while a capture is in progress. If processing fails, check the background tasks for details.
